STORMWATER REUSE

What is Stormwater Runoff?

Water runoff from our cities, streets, industrial facilities & construction sites can carry pollutants, negatively impacting water quality. The regulation & treatment of stormwater runoff is designed to turn stormwater into a resource while improving both water supplies & quality.

Stormwater capture & reuse can be realized through practices including Low Impact Development (LID) & Green Infrastructure.

Stormwater best management practices (BMPs) provide a range of multiple benefits like improved air quality, habitat enhancement, extreme heat island effect mitigation, energy resiliency & higher property values.

Bioswales are an example of effective stormwater management that you can implement at your home, business, or property. Above is a dry creek rainwater bioswale that allows stormwater runoff to slow & permeate.
