Are you prepared for Drought? Fire? Flood? Heat?

*PLEASE NOTE: FUNDING FOR THIS PROGRAM IS LIMITED & IS DISTRIBUTED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS.

You can qualify if:

  • Your property has more than 500 square feet of lawn, which has been irrigated since 2022.

    AND

  • Your income falls below the median for Mendocino County.

    OR

  • Your property is stewarded or owned by a tribal member.

    OR

  • You own or manage public land in a disadvantaged community

In California, we recognize that water challenges impact all communities, but not equally. Replacing lawns with drought tolerant landscaping helps build climate resilience, but can be expensive for frontline communities who are increasingly vulnerable to climate-change impacts.

As an innovative approach that prioritizes equity, the Lanscape Transformation Pilot Program will directly help California’s frontline communities by providing hands-on assistance to plan and install climate resilient landscapes at no cost to those communities.
